If I had unlimited money, I would donate a lot of it to different fundraisers that help hungry people or animals. I would also donate some of my money to cancer research. Then, I would buy a bunch of houses and give them to people without homes.
After that, I would go to New York over Spring Break. I would see a variety of plays on Broadway and shop...a lot. Once I got home, I would buy a bunch of stuff that I really didn't need, and I would donate all of

If I were in charge of the world, I would stop all war that was going on and make the countries fighting figure out their problems in a peaceful way. I would also make sure that all of the people that live in poor African villages have access to food, shelter, clothing and clean water. I would save all of the mistreated women of Afghanistan and bring them to a place where they will be treated fairly and considered equal to the men. I would make sure all of the people who live on the streets would get a job and a home.
As well as all of the people, I would also take care of all the homeless animals. I would make sure that they had a nice place to live and had plenty of food. No animal shelter would be allowed to kill any of the animals, no matter what the situation was. If they got too crowded, I would make sure that they have another place to keep the animals.

The Hunger Games

3/26/2012

I am currently reading a book called The Hunger Games (for the 15th time!) by Suzanne Collins. This book is about a possible future society of the world where America, now called Panem, has been divided into 13 districts the surround a shining capitol. Each of the 13 districts provide something that the capitol needs. For example, District 1 provides luxury items, District 2- weapons, District 3- tecnology, District 4- seafood, etcetera. All of the districts have peace keepers sent by the capitol to enforce the law harshly. Most of the people who live in the districts are starving, over worked, under payed, and badly treated. After years of living under these conditions, District 13 decided to try to over throw the capitol. The capitol instanly obliterated 13 and, to prevent further uprisings and show how comple their power is, decided to hold an annual Hunger Games. In The Hunger Games, two children, a boy and a girl, between the ages of 12 and 18, are chosen to compete. They have to fight to the death against all lof the other 23 children. Only one comes out, and they are named the victor and live out the rest of their life in luxury. That is, if they don't go insane from the images of all the innocent children they murdered faces who creep into their dreams each night.
Every child's name goes into the reaping one time each year no matter what. But, if your family is starving, you can sign up for tesserae and get grain once a month by putting your name in the reaping more times than neccessary. Katniss Everdeen, the main character of the book, is 16

DaVinci was a humble man, who respected other artists' work. As well as an amazing artist, he was also an inventor. He came up with the first model for a flying machine. He was a scientist as well, he studied human anatomy and many other things that were much more advanced than anything in his time. He was very kind and never thought he made much of a contribution to the world.
Michelangelo was very different from DaVinci. Michelangelo thought he was the best artist that ever lived and that no one compared to him. He would talk badly about DaVinci's work, even though DaVinci did nothing but praise Michelangelo for his amazing art. So, in conclusion, I would much rather have a conversation with DaVinci than the arrogant Michelangelo.

Weird Weather

3/19/2012

On Sunday, I decided that I needed to practice softball so I had a better chance of making the team. So I called three of my friends who were also trying out and asked them to come practice with me. The sun was out, there was no wind- it was going to be a great day to play softball. Then, very suddenly, rain clouds blocked the sun from the sky, and it began to pour. Still, my friends and I continued to practice.
But when the hail came, we had no choice but to go inside. They were just about to go homem when the sky cleared up and it was sunny and warm again. So we went outside to practice for about twenty minutes before the rain began again. Discouraged, we all went inside and my friends went home. But just after they left, the skies cleared once more. So, I didn't get in as much softball practice as I had hoped, but I did get to expirience some of the strangest weather that I've ever seen.

Sir Francis Drake

3/15/2012

We have to do a report on a famous explorer from the Middle Ages in comuter class. I chose to do my report on Sir Francis Drake because I have studied him before.
In fifth grade I wrote a report on him, so I already know a little bit about him. I found his story very intreiging and I want to know more. I think that my report would be the best if it was on Sir Francis Drake because I am very interested in him, so I will be eager to do research and write about him.

My Favorite Game

3/13/2012

My favorite game to play is softball because it is one of the few sports that I am actually decent at. I play softball in the Spring and Fall. I started playing two seasons ago and it became my favorite sport.
I have played a variety of different positions, but mainly second and third base. At first, I really didn't enjoy this game because I was new to it and everyone was better than me. In my first season, I sat out of every game almost the entire time. But soon, I began to learn how to play the game and I slowly got better. I still have a lot of improving to do, but that's okay because I have many more seasons of softball to play.

Junk food is extremely unhealthy and contains way too much sugar, salt and fat. If you ingest too much junk food, you may become obese or get a disease, like diabetes. I don't think junk food should be completely cut out of your diet, but you should attempt to avoid it when possible.
Another problem with junk food is that it tasted so good. Often, it's addicting and people can't stop eating once they've started. It takes a great deal of will power to not give in to the temptation of junk food, which is why I think that, if only eaten in small quantities, junk food can be okay to eat. Just be careful of how much of it you eat.

Someone Cares

3/9/2012

Everyone has been through something difficult. Something that you want no one to know about. It can be something tragic, like the death of a loved family member, or something that makes you sad or uncomfortable, like being bullied. But, no matter what the situation is, there should always be someone there to comfort them. Someone they can talk to, and trust. Someone who makes them realize that they are not alone.
But, many people that are going through something like this never tell anyone. They don't think anyone cares. So they face the hardship that they're going through completely alone. It takes courage to tell someone about what's happening. But knowing someone is there for you can often make you feel much better. The point I'm trying to make is that, no matter what you're going through, someone cares and will be there for you. Just try to have the bravery to realize that.

The Black Death

3/8/2012

The Black Death was a deadly plauge that swept through Europe in the Middle Ages. It began in China, and spread along the silk road. Rats that came from China were infected with the bubonic plauge, and when the fleas bit the sick rats, they became infected. Then the fleas bit humans, which infected them. Within a few days, the human would die.
Doctors had no effective way of curing or slowing down the Black Death. They tried herbal remedies and even bloodletting. Nothing worked. One in three people in Europe died because of this terrible plauge. After the Black Death passed through Europe, there was hardly anyone to work the fields. So, the peasants w
