I chose Nicolaus Copernicus for my Scientific Revolution award. I believe he deserves this award because his book began the Scientific Revolution. His ideas contradicted those of Aristotle and Ptolemy. Copernicus' book inspired great scientists, such as Galileo, to pursue science.
He was the first scientist brave enough to publish the idea that it is possible that greatly respected Greek philosophers could make mistakes just like any other human. Although he was thought to be heretic, he didn't give in and his ideas are accepted today. Congradulations Copernicus!
