Today, I learned and memorized many prepositions. I have to take a test on them tomorrow. In the end, I will have fifty prepositions memorized, but we only test seventeen at a time. I have the first forty memorized as of now. I understand which words are prepositions, but I don't really understand what they are or what they do.
I understand that a prepositional phrase modifies a noun or verb, and that there are prepositional phrases used as either an adverb or an adjective. But I really don't get what the difference is. So I'm going to look it up on the internet tonight and hopefully come to school tomorrow with full knowledge of what prepositions are and do.
